You did a good job at making a cafeteria burger for sure. Props.
If the pattie is homemade, not shitty.
I like how masterfully you congealed the cheese
and yellow mustard
I’d crush about 3 of these
My little brother is a fairly renowned chef in multiple nations (known in the industry, not a celebrity chef). I made a similar confession when we were on a road trip last month, and he told me that it’s normal. They’re loaded with fats and salt. You can make almost anything taste good as long as you have those two.
Live your truth, fam
Same.
Me toooo!!
Hell yeah, me too. Nostalgic and delicious
A mediocre burger is the most reliable food in the world. You know exactly what you’re getting from it.
That looks damn tasty to be honest. And I’m kind of a sucker for the “crappy” burgers too.
This is perfect. Not my favorite type of burger but I totally get why you love them.
I was JUST talking with a friend about how we love cafeteria burgers I am so excited to show them this
I miss my old highschool’s burgers… it was just the right amount of hard cheese and dry meat.
I have a special hole in my heart from eating those all throughout my 20s, should get that checked actually..
Craving ACTIVATED!!
I feel this. I used to love making the shitty Taco Bell cheese wraps at home. There’s just something so satisfying about the simplicity. Could easily crush 5 in one sitting.
How about those gas station burgers they keep in the hot case?
Love those awful things
Ngl I love Del tacos cheeseburgers🤣
Tbh that looks perfect
smashed it down and everything
I’m not questioning your life choices, but why air fry a burger? Unless you rarely/never clean your air fryer, it makes just as much mess as a skillet, and has more steps.
If you clean your air fryer, I’d gladly eat one of these. I don’t see the first thing shitty about it.
This is a fine looking burger. Respect to the air fryer method and using frozen patty.
I’m all about those meatpucks on a greasy flattop grill for maximum unhealthy.
Id crush that ngl
You’ve got an Aldi. I don’t know if there’s one in my state yet. I’m jealous.
I MISS a shitty burger. I was diagnosed with celiac years ago. I can’t have gluten. I miss shitty burgers and fried chicken. I used to go to town on McD burger and some Popeyes spicy chicken.
Would eat/10
I loooooove shitty burgers this looks so good
Ditch the pickles and add some ketchup and I’m chowing down!
Bonus points for tater tots on the side and chocolate milk to make the school lunch complete.
I just make shitty burgers in my cast iron, all the time… pretty much same way. Very greasy though.
I’m hooked on those burgers you get at convenience stores I don’t think they are meat but so good
Seriously!! I work in a school and always get the cheeseburgers when they have them.. why are they so good 😭😂😂
Honestly, looks solid. Simple burgers > anything with bacon or avocado added.
Looks like a good old shitty cheeseburger from a bag of burgers at Braums 🤤
a soft, warm, unimpressive bun. a thinner slice of beef. american cheese. some ketchup and mustard. truly no better burger in the world to me. and pickles if you’re lucky
I love shitty cafeteria burgers. Especially with no mayo or ketchup or anything on them. Just cheese. I’ve had some pretty good gas station burgers like that but nothing beats school lunch burgers.
I’m fully with you. Shitty burgers are 100% superior to fancy ones.
Dude.
That last step of wrapping it and leaving it in the heat to steam in its own stank is what makes it though for real.
Looks 🔥 I love a shitty burger

This was like in the movie The Menu. “I’ll make you a cheeseburger that feels like the first cheeseburger you ever ate; the cheap one your parents could barely afford”
I feel this. Im usually not a big fan of grilled burgers. I like em in a pan, kinda damp, thinnish bun, not massive toasted buns that fill my mouth. I like em simple, and flavorful
This is so personal for me, this and the tea they have in a massive jug at weddings or functions. Shit slaps so hard im chasing that high ever since i was 14 on a school trip
